Daniel Garcia, AIA, NCARB
Founding Principal / Managing Member
Daniel Garcia is the firm’s Founding Principal, and is a registered architect and interior designer in the state of Florida. He is an active member of the American Institute of Architects, and also holds an NCARB Certificate. Daniel has over fifteen years of experience in all types of projects including Luxury high-rise condominiums & mixed-use buildings, Office Buildings, Luxury Custom homes, Restaurant design, Out-patient medical facilities, and Residential renovations.
Prior to opening DGAD with his wife, Mr. Garcia worked for several local firms in a variety of commercial, residential, and medical projects, before taking his experience to the largest and most-recognized international design and architecture firm in Miami, to work as an Associate and Senior Architect on a variety of large complex multi-family, hospitality, and office projects.
Daniel Garcia earned a professional Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Studies and a Master of Architecture Degree from Florida International University.
Mercedes Garcia
Co- Founder / Vice President / Office Director
Mercedes Garcia is the firm’s Co-Founding Vice President. She has over twelve years of architectural design and project management experience, having worked for large and highly-recognized firms in Miami. Before co-founding DGAD, Mercedes worked for two major international firms in Miami as a Project Manager. Her expertise is in educational facilities, offices, government projects, airports, aquatic/recreational centers, gymnasiums & auditoriums, and single-family residential. She has a deep understanding of all phases of building design and construction including pre-design, programming, design development, construction documents, quality-control/quality-assurance review, and construction administration, and has been involved in all phases of project development throughout her career.
